Turbo Grand Prix and Turbo STE VIN History File and Breakout          
First you must know that a VIN number is not a secret number, it is written under your front window, anyone can see it!
There is no risk or potential problem that may results from listing this number any where.      
Anyone can go to their local DMV and request all the VIN numbers for a specific vehicle type!    
                     
So with that said, here is a list of T G Ps that have sold on ebay and listed their VIN numbers or,     
  are from owners who offered their numbers or are local T G Ps and TSTEs that have been worked on here.  
                     
Pontiac nor ASC kept a record of the specific VINs for the T G P/TSTE, no options count either    
But the last 6 digits can at least represent the first to last vehicles made that MY/manufacturing year.    
Turbo Grand Prixs for manufacturing year 1989 were released in mid 1989, so there was only time for a run of 751 cars.          
Turbo Grand Prixs for manufacturing year 1990 were offered as normal/fall of 1989, longer MY resulting in 3,714 cars produced.        
Turbo STE for manufacturing year 1990 were released in mid 1990, with a run of 1,000 cars.

1 = Means Built in the USA                  
G = General Motors                    
5 = "Unfinished" as in GM didn't do the "Finish" work to this car, ASC and McLaren did!      
W = Car Line, also called GM10, includes the Grand Prixs, Cutlass and others      
P = Grand Prix SE to start or, T = 4-Door Grand Prix to start, but neither was a "Finished" product    
1 = 2-Door Body Type, 5 = a 4-Door Body Type              
4 = Seat Belt/Restraint System, as in Automatic Seat Belts Front          
V = Turbo version of the 3.1L 60 degree V6 Engine              
X = Can be any number or letter, just called a "Check Digit" (see below for details)            
L = Model Year 1990, K = 1989                  
F = Original Assembly Plant, where the GP started at; Fairfax Kansas          
123456 = will vary and is a serial number so to say, unique to each car made        
                     
To understand the Check Digit (position 9) there is an algorithm that is used to check the VIN  
    of the car is correct, so there are less chances of tampering/a forgery!        
Each letter is given a numeric value, while those with a number already are left at that value:      
A B C D E F G H I is given 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, also J K L M N O P Q R is given 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and,    
   S T U V W X Y Z is given 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9                
Each number or character value is multiplied by the factor for that position:      
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8   9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 position is multiplied by a corresponding factor:      
8 7 6 5 4 3 2 10 0  9   8    7   6   5   4    3    2                 
The results are added together and divided by 11 resulting in your Check Digit!      
                     
The final assembly plant/ASC was also located in the Fairfax KS area, and was a new shop just for the Turbo Grand Prixs  
                     
It will be some work but I will try to list them based on the last 6 digits.
